My name is Richard.

I collect Russian and British military buttons from the Crimean War (1853-1856).

I have several Russian Infantry/Jaeger regiment buttons in my collection, each 23 mm in diameter (see attached image). Can you tell me if these buttons are the 1829 pattern (model)?

Considering the diameter of these buttons (23mm), were they soldier's overcoat buttons? If so, can you tell me what was the overcoat pattern (model) worn by infantrymen/jaegers during the Crimean War?
